First Annual UVA "Running of the Streakers" to be Held on The Lawn

In an attempt to increase applications for the class of 2028 cycle, the University has announced that the first annual “Running of the Streakers” will be held on the first Friday after Spring Break. It is planned to be a highly publicized event.
The runners will, of course, begin their trek at The Rotunda. A few seconds after the streakers head down The Lawn, the Ambassadors will be released. Any poor soul unfortunate enough to be caught by an ambassador will be jailed and expelled from the University.
“We’re really excited about the experience we’re creating,” explained President Jim Ryan, who plans to participate in the inaugural event, “not only will it be a great opportunity for our students to demonstrate the skills they’ve learned from UVA, but we really think it will bring the greater Charlottesville Community closer together.”
During the board meeting to approve the event, Jim Ryan was also quoted insisting that “this would make Thomas Jefferson proud.”
