Grad Student Writes Entire PhD Thesis Using Only ChatGPT

AI has grown exponentially since the start of 2023, the most notable example being the all-encompassing language model ChatGPT. But what no one expected was for Caroline, a graduate student in the UVA English department, to write her entire PhD thesis using only ChatGPT.
“I don’t get what the big deal is,” commented Caroline, who spent all of her student loans on Taylor Swift concert tickets. “I don’t see anyone else asking ChatGPT about gender symbolism in Shakespearean Literature. The department is just mad that they didn’t think to do it first.”
In wake of Caroline’s achievement, she has been offered a job working for the IT department of a local vacuum shop where she makes more money than any English Student in the history of UVA.
