Student Enjoying Nice Weather Remembers Global Warming, Has Existential Crisis

While Anne walked across grounds Wednesday afternoon, her appreciation for the sunny and warm day quickly turned to terror and existential dread when she remembered it was still February.
“At first, I was just glad to not be freezing my ass off,” Anne said. “But then I remembered that the temperature being 65 degrees on February 9 is a tragic sign of the impending global warming crisis our generation will face in the coming years and decades.”
As Anne sat on the lawn and read a book in the shade, she thought about the IPCC’s latest report on climate change, which suggested that immediate global action to reduce emissions was necessary to meet the Paris Agreement’s target of 1.5 degrees Celsius. Ever since that moment, she has been locked in her room having an existential crisis.
