UVA to Create "Lawn 2.0" by Removing Rotunda

Late last night Jim Ryan approved the Rotunda Removal Proposal in what is to be step 1 of the University’s plan to eventually pave the lawn.
“Our team is incredibly excited about this new direction UVA is taking,” commented Ryan, who in his words will be ‘taking one for the team’ and living in the Rotunda after its relocation just a few miles away from Monticello. “University leaders are confident that this is what Thomas Jefferson would have wanted.”
Importantly, the removal of the Rotunda will add 200 new parking spots once the lot is complete. The university plans to charge $45 / hour for these spots.
