First Year Forced to Clean Communal Bathrooms After Setting Off Fire Alarm

Balz-Dobie, the scholars housing, was awoken late last night to the sweet sounds of a fire alarm. The fire department soon discovered that the alarm was set off by Johnathan, who decided it would be ok if he smoked “just a little bit” in the third floor lounge. The Balz-Dobie SR has come down hard on Johnathan, who will be forced to scrub every bathroom in the building.
“I know this may seem harsh,” explained Hussain, Johnathan’s RA “but we need to set a precedent here. Johnathan is a good kid but he needs to learn his lesson. Also, the bathrooms haven’t been cleaned in 2 years and we can’t find any workers willing to clean them. So we really have no choice.”
We were able to talk to Johnathan, who is keeping a positive outlook and plans to add this to the community service section of his résumé.
