Cavalier Marching Band Demands to be Recognized as Athletic Organization

In light of UVA’s recent football performance, and with a performance of their own coming up in a few days, the @uvamarchingband has demanded to be recognized as an athletic organization.
“We don’t take this decision lightly” said David, a member of the drum line. “But when teams like the football team get all the fame and glory and get blown out every week, it makes you think.”
We inquired further into the roots of the decision, and discovered that for one unnamed band member, they honestly “just want to ride a moped and wear the backpack because it looks cool.”
