The UVA Astronomy Club has announced its first annual trip to Sagittarius A*, the black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. We caught up with the club to see how exactly they plan to carry out this trip, which is garnering national attention.

“Honestly it’s not that complicated,” explained Jenna, the Treasurer of the Astronomy club, “ever heard of time dilation?? It’s simple general relativity. As long as we travel at the speed of light we’ll make it there in like 25,000 years. One of the members of the trip is majoring in biology so he’ll be able to grow enough food for all of our descendants to survive the trip.”

Current estimates place the cost of the trip at a measly $32 billion. The club plans to enlist billionaire Kylie Jenner to fund the trip.
