With another year of rush now under way, the UVA Inter-Fraternity Council has released its annual report on Fraternal activities and affairs. In this report, the IFC showed that a shockingly low 94% of fraternity pledges in last year’s class claimed they were “badly” to “severely” hazed.
“We found the results a bit disappointing to be honest,” said Zach, a member of the IFC Governing Board, “Our standard has always been, and will continue to be, a 98% severe hazing rate, and we provide all of the necessary resources to achieve this. If our fraternities can’t get their numbers up this year we may have to conduct an internal investigation.”
As a part of their plan to increase hazing rates, the IFC is holding multiple seminars this upcoming week on topics such as “Where to get cheap alcohol” and “When should you really take your pledge to the hospital?” Reach out to Zach if you would like to attend any of the seminars.
