In a not-so-shocking development, one of the McCormick Road construction workers has come forward with a confession: every night, the workers carefully undo all of their progress from the day before.

The whistleblower, who wishes to remain anonymous, explained, "at first it was small things. We'd unscrew a few bolts or take down a few bricks before heading home. But our supervisors realized how much more we could get paid if we just tore everything up each night. We haven't built anything new since October." Students were understandably outraged, but not surprised. One third-year frat member told us "I knew there was no way it takes them that long. My pledges would have all that work finished in under a week."

Now that this scandal has been uncovered, the construction should return back to its normal pace and is expected to be finished in June of 2037.
