Attendance in 8am classes reached record lows today as students struggle to adjust their schedules to Standard Time.
“Getting to class this morning was an uphill battle, and I lost,” said fourth-year student Kevin, “I have trained my body to be in sync with the sun and the time change has thrown everything off. I’m upset that I have to change my schedule when the University could change theirs and start classes an hour later.”
“UVA has always had a hard time dealing with Daylight Savings,” said a UVA administrator, “Thomas Jefferson gave us no direction for how to deal with Daylight Savings, so how are we supposed to know what to do?”
