Class Attendance Plummets as Fraternity Brothers Prepare for Final Vote

Class attendance took a hit today as fraternity brothers across UVA prepare for their ‘Election Day’.
“This is not just any vote,” said Stephen, a member of the Chi Chi Chi fraternity, “we need time to think about the candidates and the available positions. This is not like planning our outfit for a date function, we need to think through all of our options.”
“UVA should give everyone the day off,” said John, another member of Chi Chi Chi, “there’s a random federal holiday in November for an election nobody cares about, but I have to miss class for an election that will impact my life directly for years to come. Taking one day off is not enough, we should be allowed to miss Thursday as well. It's what Thomas Jefferson would have wanted”
While class attendance for upperclassmen is expected to resume normal levels on Monday, UVA officials are beginning to worry about the sudden rise of ‘sick days’ from pledging students.
